That is puzzling because looking at this review for example, the Samsung does come in ahead of the M500 most of the time.
CARBON COPY CLONER MAC 10.7 5 PRO
I mean they both are fast but, as an example, launching DVD Profiler Pro with over 4,000 entries would take the EVO 19 seconds or so, but the M500 does it in about 13 seconds. All reports show the EVO as the faster of the two drives but I swear the M500 is much faster on my desktop (Win7 Pro) than the EVO was.

That's just one of the many virtues of virtual machines - easy cloning and duplication. Virtual Machines are just really big files which can be copied and moved like any other file (though Parallels or VMware Fusion will detect that and ask if you've copied or moved the file and getting the answer right is important). When cloning difficulties with Win installations are discussed, it's almost always Boot Camp. Weird as all the word on the internet is how difficult it is to clone the Win installation, am I missing something?. Do you have any other advice to ensure I'm getting the most out of the SSD and my Macbook, 10.7.5? I had purchased it for my desktop but then realized what a waste of a big SSD was as I have other drives for my desktop and storage so I purchased a little M500 240GB for my desktop. Weird note, I have the Samsung EVO 750GB for the Mac. Weird as all the word on the internet is how difficult it is to clone the Win installation, am I missing something?

I cloned the Mac drive to the new SSD without worrying about the 2nd partition and everything is fine. I guess I partitioned the hard drive simply for storage purposes.
