I have very high speed WiFi (500+ mbps) and 5G cellular yet both haven’t been great. iOS supported games are fantastic and GamePass cloud gaming sure looks amazing but for me still has too much lag for the majority of games.

It’s as wide as the full size Nintendo Switch but is much lighter so feels much better to play. It’s a bummer for sure and I’m surprised they didn’t build in more tolerance but my particular case is very easy to remove and put back on so it isn’t a major issue issue for me but your mileage may vary.Īs for the controller and it’s software it’s all top notch and I love the feel. If you have a thin case that has absolutely no bottom of the phone coverage this may work. The clamp does hold it tightly but the lightning plug won’t go in far enough to connect to the controller.

I own an iPhone 12 Pro (same size as iPhone 12) and it will NOT fit with a case, even a “normal” type like the silicone cases etc. I just wanted to chime back in now that I received my Backbone One. With their focus on only iPhones, they can continue to improve on and make the best controller without having to account for so many wild variables.
